runde era schon R 15 w/ two shafts + micarta ferrules, maple dash/stitch ring work.

nice original condition

true spliced 6 pt ebony into maple with maple and black veneers instead of the usual red. maple veneer borders in the ebony butt sleeve also.

6 ivory spears in the points and 6 large ivory blocks in the butt.

i will have specs and pics on late thursday/friday morning when i get the cue. i remember the cue being straight but cannot remember the weight or the shaft sizes....

post or pm me if interested with offers...

I can take pics of this for you tonight if you wish. Almost bought it myself Sunday.
Also, I'm not completely sure that one of those ferrules isn't Ivory instead of micarta, something about the grain on it made me think otherwise. Let me know about the pictures before 5:00.

specs

butt is dead straight...

shaft 1 - under 12mm with some taper wobble
shaft 2 - 12mm with taper wobble

my scale is MIA somehow
but i believe it to be around 19 - 19.5 oz with the weight bolt.

cue is in 95-98% condition. there is a small scratch in the forearm (see pics) with a few surface dings in the butt/forearm that you have to really look for...considering its 20 years old and has seen a good amount of play this is a pristine cue.

$1525 shipped CONUS express mail.

paypal accepted with a confirmed address if you pay the extra $45 - 3% for the fees.

Pics don't do this cue justice. Its a very nice cue indeed.

i could not agree more....

i dont remember seeing one of these for sale in a long time either...

i would love to keep it, but my priorities are on another mission...

Joe said he did some "wheelin and dealin" to get it. To heavy for my tastes, as are most Schons.

in the pics it looks like the ivory spears in the points are rounded off. am i seeing this right? i've owned 3 r15's and the spears were always sharp. maybe the pics are playing tricks on me.

they are round....your eyes are fine :D

i myself have wondered what the reasoning is (besides cost) behind some of the spliced R series cues having sharp or rounded off inlays...

then you see some early non spliced/round pointed cues with sharp inlays...

pick a construction or design style/type and stick to it as it pertains to that individual cue, in my opinion
