last night i ran a few textbook perfect racks. they could have been used in an instructional video. choosing a break-ball early in the rack is one of the keys to an effortless run. now all i have to do is not take shots for granted.

I just started playing 14.1 (very enjoyable) based on I always hear its good practice for other games.

I wonder why?

It's a help for my 8 ball game (clusters, setup, key to the 8 ball) but when I play 14.1 to much it affects my 9 ball game because I get used to short shots with little cue ball movement.

So what was your high run??

62.... but recently i've quit counting balls. that's a job for bean counters. what i'm interested in is cleanly finishing a rack then setting up a break ball. if i get all fidgety about beating my high run, i'm not looking at the bigger picture.

very smart on not counting those beans. I plan on practicing the same way at the end of this year.
