nbc- I play with an Espiritu custom cue. You can see it at www.zimsrack.com under "Cue Collection"! Plays, feels, hits and looks dynamite! To me, this cue is the best that I've played with ever! Email me if you're in the market for an Espiritu cue also be sure to check out www.onthehill.net, Troy (owner and personal friend of mine) sells Russ's cues!

i was playing a guy at the pool hall some cheap one pocket and before he knew what happened, i was up about a couple hundred on him........instead of the money i had coming, i was presented with a 900 dollar Espiritu cue, that i didnt want or need, with the stipulation that he had 2 weeks to come up with the dinero or the cue was mine.....after playing with the cue for several hours the following night, i was counting the days until the predetermined deadline......didnt like the cue a bit......it made my month when he presented me with the cashola on deadline day......im not trying to bash Espiritu cues in any way, but they are not for me......at least not that particular one

Zim,

Thanks for the quick reply.

The cue that I am considering, is exactly the same as your cue (design wise)...with the difference being the color of the linen wrap, the color of the veneers used, and the wood used for the points and buttsleeve (cocobolo).

I'm going to be making my decision on whether I get this cue, tonight. If I dream about it while I sleep, the deal is on!

I have owned 13 Espiritu cues. I have 5 left. I purchased them in 1999 and 2000. What a differance two years makes. I don't know who made my cues. I know who signed them. I use to really like his cues. Seems he has traded quality for quantity. A real shame. I don't want the ones I have, except one I have that was made in 1997. Cheep $300 cue but plays better than any of the $1000 + cues I have purchased. This is my experience.

i agree with joseph cues... they are very front heavy... i had one and sold it on saturday... and one more little thing. its hard to get the money you put into them back out of them... when you go to get rid of it. (thats assuming you will eventually) dont expect to get much for it... i mean mine was a 700 dollar cue that was beautiful. and i only got like 350 out of it... and i consider myself to be lucky i got that much... they dont play that well in my oppinion... not for what he charges... you are better off getting a schon. they play good and they are reasonably priced. thats my 2 cents

I have a great hitting 97 cocobolo sp that I don't use any longer but,it hits real fine.

I had one and it was a nice playing cue. Good quality workmanship. However, they do not seem to hold their value well when compared to some other cue makers out there.

I have one that was made in 2013. It's not super fancy, but I like the way it looks and hits. It does have his Xtreme performance shaft though which certainly affects the hit. I'm not sure how his regular stock shafts play.
