There was a recent thread with a picture of Anastasia Luppova, which caused me to look her up on YouTube. There are a bunch of videos, some instructional, some rather amazing trick shots, and some from competition when she seems to have been in her early 'teens (and somewhat chubby).
I wasn't aware of Russian Pyramid before, except as the name of a game. It's a 6x12 table, with 2 11/16 inch balls, corner pockets about 2/10 inch larger than the balls, and side pockets about 6/10 inch larger than the balls.
You can find the YouTube videos by searching for "Анастасия Луппова" which is her name in Cyrillic; using the English transcription didn't find them (for me, anyway). They're quite interesting. The precision needed to pocket a ball seems to be rather higher than that needed for snooker, and they hit the balls comparitively hard, seemingly on all shots. Luppova's stroke is extraordinarily straight and controlled; nothing moves but her forearm.
