Buying a cue from Pat is no-gamble, if you don't like the way it comes out, there are always people ready to buy his cues. Pat's butterfly hustlers are no longer a secret, whole lot of cue for the money.
 
Duke, Arnot also has a couple ebony/ purpleheart combinations. They look good but I've never hit with one of his cues so I can't say one way or the other a bout that.

I bought the bacote birdseye sneaky from Arnot off his site, and it is top notch. I love it. I'm sure you would love the hit of the ebony and purpleheart.
