For the newbies and seasoned cue makers..... Please keep safety first each and every time. Protect your lungs, eyes, hearing, fingers.
I consider myself a safety oriented small machine/power tools operator. But sometimes we do something and 1 second can cause a lot of grief. I reached over the lathe and the spinning chuck bit me. I did not get hurt but it was a nice wake up call. Please be careful.
 
It is usually a moments in attention that causes most accidents.
Along with hands, left or right, crossing over the body centre line , taking a shortcut to do what ever, will eventually cause serious harm injury.
 
Be real careful/protected from
airborne dust. When the negative effects hit it’s too late. Dust collection/ respirator or N95. Nobody wants to wear them but it’s very important.
