This is a 1 of 12 Schon LTD. The cue weighs 19.5oz.
12 point ivory inlay (6 top / 6 bottom) with 12 matching mother of pearl inlays.
The black part of the cue is actually a Ebony wood...(including the black on the forearm). From a distance it looks black. When you get the cue under a light you will see the grain in the wood.
Cue is straight and hits....well....like a Schon.
I did some minor modifications to get the weight to 19.5. I had the leather wrap added which actually lightened the cue. I removed material from the rubber bumper to lighten the cue. (approx 3 tenths of an ounce). You would not notice the bumper being modified unless I told you or you removed the bumper. (A cue expert may notice). A full replacement rubber bumper can be purchased for less than $5.00.
The shaft is approx 12.75mm. I had it taken down from 13mm by Bryan Mordt of BCM cues.
Please Note: You may or may not be able to tell by the picture, but... I without thinking used rubbing alcohol on the leather wrap. There was a finish on the wrap that I unknowingly removed. In my opinion the leather is now grainy and on the slick side. I find that if I apply a touch of Murphys Oil (leather soap) let it sit for a few minutes and then clean it off it has a much better feel but after a day or two it gets slick again. A cue guy may be able to spin the cue and reseal the leather....I am not sure though.
(THE WRAP HAS BEEN RE-SEALED AS OF 8/20 AND IS JUST LIKE NEW)
The cue is in excellent condition.
If you like the cue and are interested in a nice hitting Schon, or come up with a question that I have not already listed, PM me.
Thanks
