Schon shaft birch?
I am no cuemaker but I recently replaced a tip for a friend on a old schon. He said someone told him the shaft was made of birch. I told him it looked like maple to me but I was no expert. Did schon make any birch shafts? It is a original shaft because it has the logo on the collar with 12mm. Also it had a red pad under the old tip. Did or does schon put pads on non ivory ferrules? Your knowledge would be appreciated. Thanks.
