I held a scruggs cue and it was forward heavey and I read that in a post here that all scruggs are like that , what other cues are forward heavey? are schon's that way?

i dont know about all schons but ive always heard they are very even balanced. My personal schon is not forward heavy at all, very even weight distribution.

I don't know if it's true for all, probably not, but a stainless steel joint can sometimes make a cue front heavy.

Steven,

I do not know much about the Schon cues.

However, since most of Tim Scruggs cues are custom made, you are likely to be able to find cues all over the map from forward heavy to those that seem really light in the front. Balance is a personal thing and it will likely be different with the design implementation of any cuesmith for any given cue.

Using things like Stainless Steel for the joint will tend to make a cue heavier in the front as previously stated. But, there are other options that can be applied to make even a Stainless jointed cue lighter in the front.

If what you held was too forward weighted for your tastes, you should move on to a different cue until you find what you like whether it be a Schon, Scruggs, Bludworth or any other number of really good (great) cues.
