Schon Sp1106-2

Body:
butt cap: black delrin with Schon SP engraved
butt-sleeve: Solid ebony with single brass ring and fancy RR ring below wrap.
wrap: Black and white Irish Linen that is clean and snag free
Forearm: Ebony with 6 sharp points with a large diamond inlay in each point. The points are a single blue veneer. One single silver ring below joint.
Joint: Polished SS piloted with 5/16-14 pin.
Shaft: Single shaft, 12" taper, "Schon" engraved horizontally with a standard ferrule and tip.

Specs:
Body is 15.0 oz, straight, 29" long from joint colar to bottom of butt cap.
Shaft: 4.4 oz, small amount of taper roll, 29", and 12.75 mm. Not 100% sure on exact thickness, I do not have a set of good calipers, but, is close to 12.75-13.00mm.

Condition:
Guys, this cue looks new with the exception of one ding, not a chip, in the butt-sleeve. The finish is not cracked or chipped. This is not a major issue for a used cue and you hardly notice it unless you catch the light just right. The wrap looks clean, tight, and snag free. The joint has a high polish and scratch free. No chips or dings anywhere else on the cue that I can find or have noticed. The shaft does have a small amount of taper roll, and I mean minimal. Some less picky would consider this straight. The ferrule is scratch free and does not have any blueing. The only discoloration of the shaft is where the finish stops above the joint colar, no big deal here either.

I had one of these with orange veneers...mine didn't have the ring sets above/below the wrap tho..

I really like this design series -- always brought attention/questions as to who made it and was a sweet playing cue too!

Thank you sir

I like it because of the design. It is not too fancy, and not cluttered like some upper end Schon's are. I like those just fine, but, I like a cleaner look. The ebony also has a nice feel too it when you are playing. This cue hits as solid as anything I have owned including 3 Jensens.

All PM's sent. Keep them coming, have had a few nice offers thus far for trades, but, cash is king. I am saving up for something bigger in the near future.

bump...

I have had a few trade offers and would like to thank those that have inquired thus far.

Upon a real close examination, I noticed a few small dings in the butt cap. Nothing major and I did not notice them until I got down real close and in the light. They are harder to feel than to see.

This is one nice cue. The more I hit a few balls with it, the more I like the hit and feel. I don't think you would be let down by anything this cue has to offer. I am telling you, this is a sweet cue. Somebody will be real happy with this one. If it does not sell soon, I may just keep it.

The spots in the photos of the forearm are just dust from my table.

price drop

Dropped the price a little to help a little with this bad economy. It is going to be hard to find a nicer Schon in this great of shape for much less. First close offer to asking price takes this one home!

back to the front again...

Let's see some good offers! Had a few trade offers with cash, just haven't found a cue that I want to try out next.

trades??????

I have 500.00 cash available today and this cue to use as trade for something bigger. Looking for a nice cue with a radial pin. I can free up more funds for the right cue.

PMs sent

I have had a few wonderful trade offers thus far. I would like to trade for an older cue with a radial pin. Custom cues are prefered in like condition. Traditional 4 PTS and styling prefered.

hhhmmmmmm

I am not up to speed on those cues. Would you mind posting pictures and specs? Please pardon my ignorance.

trades/offers

Still looking for the right trade/offer for this nice SP. I will trade up with cash if I can afford it. Let's see what is out there and who wants to trade!

bump to the top again

Still looking to sell this nice cue. Trades considered. I like the LP's I have been seeing lately.

i have a brand new mike gulyassy sneaky pete i would considering trading you plus a little cash if interested

post some pictures

If you could post a few pictures with specs, or, lead me in the right direction to a listing you may have of it here on AZ, I will take a look. Thanks for the interest/offer.

just a thought

I have had a few nice trade offers. I am looking for something that is traditional with points, implex or wood to wood joint, not too fancy, around 19.5-20.0 OZ with two shafts 12.75mm +. A custom would be nice, but not a limiting factor. I am also interested in a nice custom leather 3/7 case in about the same price range as this Schon. Doesn't need to be tooled or real fancy so long as it is leather and black.

price drop

This is about rock bottom on this cue. I will do more for a higher end custom in trade. Maybe this weekend I will get a few offers?
