Scorpion INOX joint - size?

I was intending to buy a Scorpion cue that comes with an INOX joint. I have searched this forum and google'd as well but can't seem to find any info. Hopefully someone has paired it with a non-scorpion shaft and would know what that joint really is!

Don't know if their joint pin and threads are proprietary or not, but have you ever played with a quick release joint? Multiple ones I've tried always loosened up to some degree while playing.

The only one I have owned that is quick release is Uniloc. I do tend to agree with your observation.

My Viking QR has never loosened up on me in the 15 to 20 years ive owned it. Now my Uniloc has been good so far but haven't had it all that long yet.

I have a Cuetec joint screw that I turned the front of it down to a quick release, it fits that joint.
Just another variation of the quick release.
There's a bunch of them.

Thanks. I am assuming you have both Cuetec and this Scorpion version. Have you tried to fit the Cuetec shaft (3/8 x 14) into the Scorpion butt joint? If you do have these two cues and their native shafts, if you don't mind please trying this or perhaps if you have already tried it. Essentially trying to find out if I could use my Cynergy shaft on this Scorpion cue.

Yours has a brass insert set up with a countersink. The cynergy does not.. you would have to get an insert made and installed.
I do not have both cues in my shop, I was just explaining what I had to do to the joint screw mandrell so it worked.

No offense but why buy a cue with some random non-standard joint?? Makes it damn near impossible to : A. Upgrade/change shaft and B. Resell.

Understand that. I started playing with Scorpion Cue and I like that they have thin butts and rubber grips. Exact same reason why I use Cuetec. But you are correct, earlier I got OB, Mezz and other shafts that were available in 3/8 x 14 joint and now hardly any other shafts are available for this joint other than Scorpion / Cuetec. So with this INOX joint I was hoping that it is a radial or some other such joint that will take other shafts. If it doesn't then I am not getting it.

Wanted to close this thread. I wrote to Scorpion and got a response that this is a proprietary joint and non-Scorpion shafts will not fit. No details on the size of what joint this is were provided. But doesn't matter anymore. Just wanted to provide this info back to this forumin case anyone else was wanting to know. I am certainly not buying the Inox joint.
