Scott "The Shot" Smith

I was wondering what ever happened to Scott Smith. I know he used to own a pool hall/ Club in Colorado called Rack n Roll. I was just wondering because normally you see him at most of the big tournaments but it seems Ken Schulman has kind of taken over the role. Just wondering, I always liked Scott, he was a great guy and everytime I was playing in Colorado and stopped by he would kick me down with Accu-Stats Videos"-)..Always heard he was a pretty fair player in the day also.....Miss Scott Smith, great tournament director announcer......

I've seen several threads asking the same question over the past few years. I've yet to see much of an answer.. Wondered the same thing myself..

Actually, I think his role has been taken by Jay Helfert. Apparently, Scott had some "personal problems", some of which were related to his divorce, I think.

Scott still lives in Colorado Springs and stops in occasionally at Antique billiards here. He sweated a match I had a couple of weeks ago. To my knowledge, he has retired from tournament direction....and does not seem to be interested in playing.

He has been at Corner Pocket West in Colorado Springs a little bit also playing on bar boxes.
