Scrap wood

I looking to build a box that's about 4" tall x 2" wide X 1" thick. Does anyone have any extra or scrap wood, blocks or sheets(about a 1/4 thick) that would work for this? Looking for any and all kinds of wood. Doesn't matter what kind of wood it is, a mix would be ideal.
Please let know what you have if any and how much you are asking for it shipped to area code 60915.

I have some old wormy chestnut and walnut that was taken out of a building before it was torn down. 100 year old building. I have plained it down. Very nice wood. Can put a picture up tonight when I get home tonight

Yes, please do along with any other pieces you might want to get rid of. Even small pieces that I can you for the top and bottom to make a 2 tone box. If I could ever remember how to upload pics I'd post a pic of what I'm looking to do to give everyone a better idea of what I could use.
By chance, if I don't get a lot of feedback could someone point me in the direction of decent places to buy this wood? I'm just not looking to spend a ton on this project until I see how well it works out and see what kind of interest there is in the boxes.

Go look around locally. It will save you a lot on any shipping. Lumber yards, woodworkers groups, millers, tree removal services, craigslist, freecycle, etc. Hell, I picked up a radial arm saw for free over here in california. Lots of good stuff if you know where to look.

Hint: I would also search this forum for similar threads and see what people posted.
