Sealer on Ferrule

Are there any concerns with applying sealer (CueMan, Unique or Speed Seal) on all types of ferrules to give them a nice shiny appearance? I recall seeing a video of a cue maker applying sealer to the ferrule and tip sidewall while spinning the shaft after replacing the tip and cleaning & sealing the shaft. Any advice is appreciated.

No problems here. I use Cueman sealer on all ferrule installations. On very porous ferrules some use a cyanoacrylate to seal.
