Hi,

I'm searching for an Uni-loc bullet joint pin. Only the pin without the insert.

http://www.uni-loc.com/uni-loc_joints_bullet.php

Atlas Billiard supplies doesn't sell to end custumers, the shipping fees to Germany would be about $30 via UPS.

I only need 1 pin, the shipping is $2,86 via USPS envelope with rigid object

Paypal is no problem.

Thx for your help

Michael

I'm glad that you got your pin. I don't use that pin hence I don't stock it. That's probably the case with most of the forum members. I had just received an order from Atlas a few days before your post or I would have ordered one for you with my order and shipped it but it will be months before I order from Atlas again. This is probably the case with most on here. I just hope you don't think that we are all hard hearted in not responding to your predicament.

No, I don't think so.

The Bullet Pin is no common used pin. Therefore less cuebuilder use it. I got lucky with KJ....... and if I have a problem concerning cuebuilding I will post my question here again and will get help from all of you guys........

........and now I have another question. As I mentioned above, I wanna build a jump stick extension for my B/J Queue, the Poison VX2.9.

I got the pin, now I need the right kind of wood. Do I have to use maple or other kind of wood which is used for cuebuilding or can I use "normal" wood like alder, ash or even oak or beech (typical wood in Germany)?

I know it depends on favored weight and grain. The grain doesn't matter, because I paint the extension black and then varnish it with a two-part clear coat. The weight is second-rate, maybe the difficulties of the wood's handling matter a little bit....

So what kind of wood is the right one for me?

Thank you Arnot for your help.

Now I will use some wood I already have......

Ok guys, now the very last question.

I said, that I will paint the extension black. What kind of black lacquer or paint can I use for wood?

I read in multiple forums, especially in guitar building forums, that I should use acrylic lacquer like this one:

http://www.mipa-paints.com/gb/index.html

Mipa is an eminently respectable company in Germany concerning car painting.

I wanna make clear that I in the end, I will lacquer it with two-part clear coat.

So how do you paint wood? What kind of lacquer do you use?

Michael,
Your pin is going out with the morning's mail. I can't guarantee when you'll receive it but I was told 5-10 days. Hope you can wait that long.

Anyway, Maple would be a good choice for your extension as it has a good strength to wght. ratio.
I made the mistake of listening to someone one time that stated : "black is black, don't worry about it". Well, just so you know, there are different shades of black.
Predator uses FLAT-BLACK on the BK cues and I don't have reason to think that they would use any other black on the rest of their cues. Once the clear-coat is applied, the finish is gloss (or matte if you desire).
If you start with a gloss black base and then clear-coat, it will look different from the rest of the cue.
Good Luck, KJ

The flat-black should be no problem. The acrylic lacquer I take into consideration is also available as flat-black.

Thanx for your advice.

Another simple Method is bating.

One package of black powder bating should be enough. And it's easier to use...:)

You're very welcome sir.
I'm happy that I was able to help.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
