"seeing" the table better

Just a comment that explains why I feel like I'm getting better, even though my "high run" has not moved lately.

My high run is nothing worth mentioning, but my "average" run is going up, and I really do feel some improvement. Mainly I am "seeing" the table better and faster. I am recognizing problems, and solutions better and faster than before. The table, even when full of balls, just seems more "clear" to me, like I know where to start and how to move around the table and how to clear out certain areas of the table, then move down table and clear out other areas. Patterns involving more balls are more clear and obvious now

Kinda like playing chess, a beginner has a hard time keeping track of the whole board and all the possible moves, the better player can easily digest the whole board and determine the good moves from the bad ones.

Anyway, just rambling, I dont think there is any way to "teach" someone to see the table"clearer" it just comes to you after you have enough table time in.....

But its a good feeling

Good for you ! Don't worry about seeing anything faster as long as you see the table better/clearer I see your new high run coming soon !

I think seeing/reading the table is a major step in running the balls. I would like to understand what high level players see/read/plan when they break the table down. Sequences and puttingthem together then focusing/executing on the single shot and repeating is critical to high runs

I have posted this many times but I think player reviews are the best because watching someone run alot of balls doesn't help if you don't know what they are thinking .2 of my favs are Oliver Ortmann 150 and out vs Earl Herring (Accu-Stats) & John Shmidt's How I run the hundreds both very educational IMHO
