I have a customer with a Jacoby Ultra shaft that he is using on a different cue. The problem is the joint is a little smaller in diameter than the shaft collar. And somehow it is catching his beard hair which I have personally experienced and is very aggravating. I will know the exact diameter tomorrow when I get the Q, but my question is if I turn down the clear coat on the shaft collar to match the diameter of the joint even if I have to re-clear it a hair with CA would I run into any problems that I'm not seeing or thinking of right now? Any suggestions or advice on fixing this problem would be much appreciated thank you.
