I've seen shafts from various cue makers made from Canadian maple, American maple, and Birdseye maple. What's the difference, other than cost. For three manufacturers, the birdseye maple was $25-$50 higher than the American maple. Is one a better wood than another? Is there a difference in the "feel" or "hit" of the cue?
I'm seriously thinking of having a cue made and would really like to have this information.
Thanks.
