Shaft qestion

I am thinking of buying either a Z shaft or the new i-3 shaft. Could any of you give me the pro's and con's of either one. I am looking to try a thin shaft and both of these are I believe are 11.75. Also one other question, I have a great custom cue to which I would get one of these shafts to match. Would it be just as good to have the cuemaker make one of the two shafts I have to the desired 11.75. Take care and God bless our troops.

Go with the I-3 and be prepared for a boatload of english on whitey. The I-3 is made of better quality wood. And just turning down a shaft to 11.75 would not play the same as the I-3. It is a matter of the pie laminate and the less deflection offered by the Z and I-3 shafts.

the very first cue i ever baught was a cheapie, a Viper very nyce to play with, but then i got a muecci cue, handed down from an old player, so with the viper cue, i made my very own taper shaft, i taped off how far i wanted the taper, and got the finest sand paper around and went to town, came out purdy gooder, i love to play with it, heheeh, sounded bad there. But my very first cue so i like the feel of it, especially with my very own taper, Cole 'TheConArtist'
