Shaft question

I'm relatively new to shooting pool. I purchased a Miranda Custom cue from a local friend from the pool hall and it got stolen. I still have the second shaft. It hits great. i was wondering if its possible to make a very broad butt for the shaft.

Of course, just a handle can be built to use with your Miranda shaft.
Another option is to buy a complete cue and have your Miranda shaft matched to the new cue. That way, you're back to owning a cue with 2 shafts again.

When you state that you'd like one built with a 'very broad butt', could you be a little more explicit? I'm having a problem visualizing that without the image of one of Manwon's girl-friends popping into my head.
