Shaft questions

Hello everyone I was intrested in a carbon fiber shaft put have some worries before I pull the trigger. I play with a "Pure X Birdseye Maple & Black/Turquoise Points Cue with Black Linen Wrap" and it came with a piloted skinny shaft 5/16 18 that I wasnt a fan of, so I boughyt the 12.75m version and have been enjoying it very much so. I am now intrested in buying a carbon fiber shaft and purex has one in the 5/16 18 thread but I cant find one that is piloted, my question is will it be noticbly differnt hit or feel without the piloted thread?

CF shaft may feel different to you than a maple shaft, but piloted vs. non piloted usually will not make a difference in feel if the shaft fits snug to
the cue butt.

PureX piloted uses a real short pin. Might have issue getting a tight connection.

Yep. The pin on my Purex sneaky was pretty short. I'd think a piloted shaft would be needed for decent lock-up.
