i have a lucasi le-27.i like the cue but have a hard time with power draw and strong follow shots.i have down well with other cues in these areas so i'm starting to think that it's tip or taper or both.the lucasi tapers are advertised as being between 13"and 15".

joss is i believe either 9" or 10" and schon being around 12".both of these cues are highly recommended on this and other forums.could it be that their shorter shaft tapers make for a more powerful stroke?or does a longer taper create more power?

Lucasi comes standard with a Triangle tip which I consider a fairly responsive non-layered tip. Usually a little rounder tip will impart slightly more spin for you. (Dime). Its nice to have those big shots in an arsenal, however most successful players have learned to shorten up the game by better positioning, center cue ball and angles.
