Shaft wax/polish

Hey guys, Im curious what you use for polishing a shaft after retappering or reconditioning. After I reseal the exposed raw wood, I apply sealer, let it sit for a few and knock off the excess with a paper towel or 3000 grit. then I add cue wax from Chris Hightower from Cue man Billiards. Give it a few them work it in with a piece of leather. They come out "Good" but I feel they could be even glossier and slicker. Curious as to yall's steps and products.

Thin shellac to seal, then lightly sand, then polish up to 2000 sandpaper. Burnish with paper.

I never use wax on my own cues.

E-Bay. This is the one I've been using with good success, although there are several others out there that may work just as well. I've delivered nearly 30 shafts with this coating on the shooting end and people seem to really like it. I'm not charging separately for it as a $25 bottle seems to last forever; I am just considering it part of a shaft cleaning service when I do tips and ferrules. It also does a nice job on wrapless butts, particularly ones with a lot of gloss black.

One tip on these, make sure to invert the bottle and clear the spray head after each use; otherwise the ceramic dries inside the sprayer and you can't use it more than once. I have gone to using foam disposable paint brushes and/or paper towels to apply, either work fine. Microfiber to polish when done.

I bought some of this and it works really well on carbon fiber shafts.
