I am looking to do tip and minor repair work. Has anyone had any experience with a small cheap ($799) cue lathe called the shaftmaster. I am curious if it is worth the money or if I should just save a little more money and go with a full size lathe. Plus, what is a good website for tips, ferrules, sand paper ect.?

Email me! I've been searching for a good lathe myself and have found some good info.

I've watched the inventor from the 1st prototype through all the improvements. The feedback that I have heard from buyers of the lathe have all been positive. He has been at most major tournaments for the past few years putting on tips & ferules as well as selling his lathe to people from all over the world. For what it is designed for tips, ferules and general repair it is a great value and pays for itself in no time. Can you make a cue with it? No. But for what you are looking for you can't go wrong, especially for the price!
