This is a general question for the cuemakers who are generous enough to contribute their time here.If you are requested to make a new shaft(std length(29in?) maple, ivory ferrules, with insert for 5/16-14 pin) how close to a specific weight,4.0 oz,4.2 oz,is it possible to hit.I know nothing about woodworking but would think it is hard to hit an exact weight but would really appreciate input. Also how do cue makers feel about making shafts for cues other cuemakers built.I would expect to pay more but also understand if a cuemaker doesnt work with anyone elses cues.Thanks,M.S.
