Shannon Custom Cue for Sale on eBay
I bought this cue about 6 months ago from speedy5963 for $350. Here's a quote from the original description of the cue by speedy5963:
"Here is a new cue by Shannon Custom Cues. This cue features a very heavily figured Mexican Cocobolo forearm and Buttsleeve with a Tulipwood Ring in Buttsleeve. Silver Rings are at all positions. The Joint is also Tulipwood which makes this cue really stand out with the cocobolo. Ferrules are LBM "
The Cocobolo wood in this cue is really pretty. I put Moori tips on both shafts and bought a set of Tulip wood joint projectors. Pics of the cue, with captions under the pics that give additonal information may be found here: http://billporter.smugmug.com/gallery/1724144/7
The cue has been lightly played and I would rate it at about 95%. The deco ring on one shaft came loose and was replaced by custom cue maker Dick Neighbors. It was a "while you wait" job as I was in a hurry and Dick did not have time to properly refinish the area of the shaft just above the joint. Dick was willing to finish the job if I brought the shaft back to him, but I never got around to it as it didn't affect the play of the cue. There is a small chipped area on the bottom of the butt cap. This can be seen in the pics referred to above.
The shafts both weigh 4.1 oz. and the butt weighs 15.0 oz. Joint is 3/8 by 10, flat-faced. The cue is straight with both shafts.
I am currently playing with a Radial pin OB-1 shaft on a Lucasi butt and rarely play with this cue anymore. I'm going to try to sell it here on AZ for a few hours today before messing with eBay. Thaks for looking! (BTW, I have 100% positive feedback on eBay as billporter1456 - 71 feedbacks.)
