One Day

Will this be a one day event? If so, at what point do you go to 2 days.

Ray

Finished at 3:30am ish in Jan.

all of these tournys have been one dayw/a cutoff of 64 players. the owner sd last month that w/more than 64 players, will go to 2 day.i assume if would have to be a few more than 64. he did make clear that w/40 or more players will add $2000 each month. i want to mention that the owner has agreed to not close as long as there is any action. i think the gambling went on to sunday afternoon last time

I Wish.....

I wish you'all would co-ordinate your event with Waco & Fast Eddies. I had a great time last one I went to and really want to get back! I guess you can't have everything.

Sounds Like A Great Tournament But 20 Bucks For A Green Fee Is That Not A Little High?

It's a great deal!

The tables are open. No quarters needed. Not even counting that It's 100% payback plus 1040 added just on the tournament, with 48 people. Sounds like a great deal to me!:) Then add a really sweet auction!

Oh and the food is excellent and the Beer is cheap. Damn , this sounds like fun!

i appreciate the kind words about the tourny. i hope you can make it back. we have had these tournys the 2nd saturday of each month for the last 3 or 4 years. maybe 5 years. the fellow who owns the business has basically just decided not to ever change which weekend he gives his tourny. at least the out of town people wont have to wonder abouth the dates. if i could get a couple of my friends to leave the golf course, calcutta would definitely be really jacked up. we'll hope to see you on 3/10

One more note....

Guys - CB is doing a great thing for pool with this tournament. He will have to sell at least $3,000 in beer and food just to break even on this event. This is a man that loves the game and knows how to have a good time!

This tournament reminds me of the one I played in Houma a couple of weekends ago. There was almost $10,000 in entry fees and calcutta money.

I just realized it was a one or two day tournament based upon how many players....sorry

Personally, I think this tournament's payout is a little top heavy but boy oh boy if you take first place, wallah wallah bing bang.

Sharkey's is about 3 or 4 hours from New Orleans I imagine and wouldn't mind paying a visit one weekend.

joey, i hope you can make it to one of our tournys. they have all been one day deals. humphrey and some of the n.o. guys have been here, just not recently. big payouts to not have to beat a bunch of top notch road players. i met you one time at breakers in mobile. watched you(& bet on you) play buddy hall some one pocket. i'll come say hello if you make it. the owner has agreed to stay open indefinitely for action purposes. thats a be deal as the tournys dont end until 2 or 3 am. hope to see some of you new orleans floks here

How's things shaping up?

Have the phones been busy? In January, we stayed at the Best Western. It was not bad for the money!

i haven't talked to the people there in the last few days, but as of wednesday c.b. told me a few calls were coming in. a couple of groups from the dallas area called to make sure the tourny was still on, and said to reserve about 6 spots for them. have been real busy at work, & i work by myself, so getting out regularly kinda hard. a buddy of mine told me the regular monroe and some of the lafayette crowd had checked in.i image the turnout will be about the same as recent ones.

That is awful kind of you my good man, but I was just messin' with you. I like people to bet on me without me knowing it. I'm glad you won. Just a reintroduction would be great. I'm taking a little medicine right now and will have to see how tomorrow works out. But I am sure going to make it up there one weekend. It sounds like a lot of fun AND MONEY!
Thanks

i hope you can make it. i'll definitely come say hello. if not this time, make it another month. i think you'll enjoy it. p.a. cain
