I just had one of the tables shimmed in my room, When they say double or triple shimmed,
is the original facing counted as one of the shims ? Inquiring minds want to know.

Yes, the original counts. So adding one shim to the original would be considered a double shimmed table. We would recommend using a thicker facing instead of doubling them up. They come in various thicknesses. Also in the future,check out the thread on rail extensions.

Thanks, that is what i was told and my man used some kind of shim like you said.
