what should I expect to pay to have a table mechanic break down a table and prepare it for freight shipping?

Is the freight part too much to ask an average table mechanic to do?


Also, who would you use to ship a pool table?

Any ideas what it would cost to ship a gold crown from ney york to phoenix. 9 foot 1 piece aprons can't help...



I am worried about a table mechanic making sure the table gets packed right. But I am even more worried about letting a mover take down a table. I'd hate to hire two crews to do it right...

I would probably have a mechanic in new york disassemble and load up your moving truck.Then, have a mechanic local to where you are moving to unload the table and set it up for you.If you schedule these things in advance,it should go smooth.

As a billiard mechanic, this is the way I handle this type of job. Crating the slate individually $175. If I dis-assembly the table for the moving company I would charge $200 for the Gold Crown. If you want me to package the table for shipping and load the truck other $100.

Unless your GC I means something special, sell it and start shopping for a GC in Phoenix.
