Short Cue Question

I cut a cue of 150cm and now it is only 70cm (I did this to fit the cue to my game room dimensions). How can I make this cue play well? Someone told me to add a heavy screw but I don't know the way to do this. Any other suggestions?

A heavy screw is the simple solution. I suggest finding a repairman to do it for you.

A 15 oz screw in the threaded hole where the butt of the cue would normally screw in should work okay. You don't have a short cue; you have a shaft!
