ok, after reading Williebetmore's Woodshed post i think i will follow his example and start an intensive practice session. one that will last for weeks, not just a few days. and as a result i will also quit racking and breaking, trying to see how many racks of 9-Ball i can run in any given day or evening.
i have, over the years, around 50 different shots i have diagrammed that i have had trouble with in the past. some of them are the "Routine" shots that come up in a game of 9-Ball, others are ones that are occur less frequently but more than once a month or so.
taking a page from WBM, focus will be threefold:
1) pocketing balls
2) speed control
3) stroke delivery
however, i am still yet to find that elusive stance that i have been searching for. just seems like i cant find a stance that is "Comfortable" and as a result i miss shots i feel i should make. so much of the stance dilemma is balance, i just cant seem to stay completely still. i find myself "moving, wobbling, swaying" just a very small, tiny amount and this makes me uncomfortable, which leads to missing - either the shot or position.
so, folks, there you have it. in the near future i would assume there wont be any posts from me about bad luck, bad rolls, throwing stuff, etc, etc. the 2006 U.S. Open is right around the corner, so i better get busy!
