it seemed like i could bank the ball much much better. My normal cue is a schon and the shafts are right at 13mm. My old meucci sneaky is prob about 12.50 mm and it really seemed to make a difference, i was able to make really precise table length banks where i would normally struggle with them with the schon. It also seemed my overall control was better. I realise with a smaller shaft you are hitting the cueball more precisely (like snooker) but ive always heard 9ball you should be shooting a 13mm or so because it gives you a little bit more margin for error. What sizes do you guys shoot and whats your take on this........I may get my schon shafts turned down a bit
