Should I fill this???

I'm in the process of recovering my table. It was made by United Billiards Inc. Its an older 7 foot, coin-op, with a 3/4 one piece slate. As I was cleaning the slate, I noticed 2 small "pock" marks in it. Here's a pic of one... slate.jpg
I know its not very large. Its only about 1mm deep. But, I also know that a tiny piece of dust under a cloth can feel sometimes like a mountain. IDK if a tiny void would feel much larger also.
My question is, should I worry about it and fill it before I install the cloth??? And, if so, what should I fill it with??? Or would the cloth make up for a small imperfection as this?? Just looking for some opinions. Thanks......

I would fill it in

Now is the time to fill in all little (or big) holes, chips in the slate. I would go over the entire playing surface finding all of the divots and mix up a little bondo and fill them all.

You were correct about a small foreign piece ON TOP of the slate is much more noticeable than a divot.

now is the time to make it perfect, then put the cloth on with no worries!

Good Luck,
