Shoulder pain?

I have the same rotator cuff pain when I play for long sessions too. If you know you're going to be playing awhile try and take 600mg of Ibuprofin (Advil) ahead of time.. that should make you comfortable in crunch time. You could also try and marry a shoulder surgeon that owns a pool hall and builds custom cues as a hobby.
If your bridge arm is too straight or your back foot is too far out from the shot line (therefore your weight will be held by your bridge hand), that shoulder will scream. I used to have the same problem until I changed my stance and made my bridge arm more relaxed.
As for the stiff neck problem, it usually happens if your right handed and left eye dominant or vice-versa. In that case, if you're trying to line up your dominant eye to the shot line, you may be bending your neck in an unnatural way. Try centering the your cue below your chin and mess up your game for the next 10 years.
