How do Showman cues compare to a Tascarella? Tascarella cues have that hard/firm hit I like, are Showman cues comparable?

Johns cues are Superb Players"
My Showman has a Piloted steel joint,
and with His standard shaft taper its very firm, solid hitting cue

Showman cues, in my experience, are every bit as solid, but slightly stiffer with more feel. This can vary greatly by just changing tips, but my preference is for the Showman hit. I felt a little more connected to the shot because there was just more feel in the Showman. Either cue is a home run...both builders are superb. This is all just personal preference. I don't think I ever met a guy with a Tasc who couldn't give me the 7.

Do they also make same hard hit/sound that you can hear across the room?

I've had 4 Tasc and 2 Showman cues...
Showman is a little quieter than the Tasc"
BUT I think the tips have a little to do with the sound a cue makes too...
I have 3 Schons, 2 with triangle tips, 1 has the original WB Schon tip,
And that shaft on any of the cues has a very distinct ping"
The other 2 are a little quieter

Both are great cuemakers-Command top $ prices

I have seen and hit a few balls with a Showman- It is a Szamboti copy sitting at Hawaiian -Brian's -it is an exact copy of the cue Rodney Morris Played with. In like 1999,or 2001 at the Hopkins expo. I met a man traveling with his wife, he had 3 cues, a Gus and 2 Tascarellas. He didn't know what gus cue was worth ,the other 2 were sweet cues looking very similar to the gus. I said you could trade the gus for a new motor home! and both tasc-were snatched up fast. He let me try them out, I couldn't afford the tascarella but wish I had bought 1 of them. But I feel they are players all day long. LP sold a new tasc- shaft for 175. from a trade in. I was sick, since we had just talked about something he's working on. I'd of had him make a cue for the shaft. Mark
