Simonis or Miliken or Other

I should have my table up and running in a few weeks and would like recommendations on what cloth is best suited to straight pool. I liked the 760 on my last table but was wondering if their 860HR might be better suited for the [finished] basement. The climate is somewhat controlled but can get slightly humid during the summer. I have also heard good things about the Miliken SuperPro.

Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest granito basalt, if you like it real fast. Granito tourney 2000 is nice as well. Very comparable to simonis 860, i get my info from a guy in the biz. Hope this helps...

i had been using simonis 760 on my gold crown for 21 years. i sold that table and bought another. i tried Championship Tournament cloth that i found on ebay. loved it. it's tougher and faster than simonis and you'd never know the difference by looking or playing. nice nice cloth and half the price of simonis. i think i found it on ebay..

cloth choices

I would recommend simonis 860.The reason is your ball speed will best controlled on 860 and being on the right side of balls is very important playing straight pool to continue to advance from rack to rack.my only experience with milliken cloth was at the sbe 14.1 all the top pros had trouble and I really struggled and found myself having to leave a 2 ball option for a break ball often in case I fell bad on one of them I would have a second break ball to advance into the next rack.760 is a little to fast also and more worries about skids also.I have no experience with 860 hr however nick varner told me he thinks it is 760 with a different name like 860hr.

Thanks,
