Sneay-pete Idea ??

Has anyone seen or made a sneaky-pete or another pointed cue with a really good figured birds-eye maple butt (and points) over a stardard maple with very close stain colors?? I know it's hard to explain, if i had CAD it would much easier to see. I was thinking of this the other day, and was curious about it.

That would be a little light.
That would be the biggest problem.
And any bit of a glue line would show really bad.
You could ask Mark Bear, he seems to have the whole full splice thing down pat.
