Sniper Tips - Quality Change?

I appreciate everybody's feed back and comments. I will be purchasing a dead centre for installing Snipers and see how I make out.

Thanks again

With the snipers being a "soft" tip they are going to be harder to shape. Comparing them to a "medium" tip in ease of installation isnt a fair evaluation. Even with hand tools and shapers they are a pain. I learned the hard way using that porper shaper with blades on both ends, It just rips the top layer off beause it isnt sharp enough. Same with the heavier scuffers. As stated you need to use a sharp razor blade, if not, your just going to push the layers apart. Without the tip being broken in you can just push the tip off with your thumb. I've had better luck with cutting the height down a bit before. They play much better for me at 1/2 the height. The other problem i had with them is the glazing.....
