Snooker Cues

Where'd my stroke go?

Getting back into playing snooker lately after a long absence and am looking to buy my first snooker cue. I know I would like something on the heavier side (17-18oz?) with a firm hit, but don't know much else other than that.

If you could share your favorite brands or any other advice on buying a snooker cue, it would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Vic

If you are playing on a big table, it is good to have a cue with the mini butt and a telescopic extension.

Personally, I find little difference between the ash shafts and maple shafts on the cues I own.

To carry this equipment, a case.

This sort of package is rather rare from vendors in North America - I have no idea what is available in Japan.

Snooker cues taper to sizes in 0.5 mm. increments.
I prefer a smaller diameter tip.

Now using Blue Diamond tips

Snooker balls are much lighter than pool balls, so you don't need as heavy a cue 16 - 17 oz.

Thanks for the replies, I'll have a look at all those. I find the ash shafts distracting, but I guess I'll have to get used to it.
Anyway, I'm having a lot of fun looking at the options, but I think it's going to take a while to choose one though.
