Snooker in NYC

I've searched old posts, and can't seem to find a definitive answer, so could New Yorkers please tell me which places have snooker tables in NYC? I know Spin City has one (or it did when I was last there six months back), and I understand Master Billiards has some. Are they any in Manhattan? Quite simply, I have a British friend in town that wants to play snooker, where do I take him?

How about NJ????

Haven't played in Manhattan since Chelsea morphed to Slate (yechhh! Who takes relatively new snooker tables and cuts them in half to make seating??? Blasphemers!), but if you are unsuccessful in the city, journey to Comet Billiards in Parsippany, NJ. One heck of a room and a beautiful 6x12 in the corner. Have fun!

Adios,

Pizza Bob

if you have a car, go to carom cafe in flushing. it's a great poolroom with great food, internet access, and card playing etc. 24/7

my friends tell me masters can get,,,,,,,,,,,annoying.

Yep, it was at Comet last weekend that I played my first frame of snooker in about 15 years!

I actually live in Jersey but without a car or a ride, I can't get to Comet (or it would be my first choice). I have to rely on public transportation from Jersey City.

What about The New York Atheletic Club, a couple of locals went down for a snooker tourny a while ago I only assume the tables are there permenantly.

The only snooker tables in Manhattan that I know of are the ones the yuppies rest their behind on at Slate. Queens is it.

I second that, it has a great atmosphere and the tables roll great.
