Hi guys, as some of you know I play a little 14.1, and I have been practicing the game again the past couple of weeks. For the past 2 years I have been playing almost exclusively 1 pocket to get up to speed on that game. Now I want to get back to 14.1 and break my high run of 127.
While practicing I keep a few thoughts in mind, and I thought it might help some of you guys learning the game.
the 4 "DO" commandments...in no particular order...
>open the pocket lanes
>get rid of the rail balls early
>open the clusters
>set up the end rack/breaker
the 4 DON'T commandments....
>never go into the back of the rack without a good insurance ball
>get rid of "lone" up table balls
>when opening clusters....don't push the balls ontop of other balls
>NEVER EVER shoot til the plan is pictured in your head!!
these are the biggies for me to run lots of balls. I have a few that get interchanged as I get back into 14.1 stroke. I read many posts about guys asking about patterns and what balls to shoot. When I get stuck, I always go back to these two lists in my head. They basically come from Rempe, and Sigel videos......when I screw up runs, its almost always from breaking a commandment.....as I call em'
have fun,
