'Special' Cues from Production Cue Makers

Would you consider 'Special' Cues from Production cue makers being higher in value than their regular production line cues. Lets say that a production cue company has 3 or 4 production series cues that they produce lets say 30 to 50 different types of cues. But for some reason they produce some special cues that are different from their series lines. Sort of 'one of a kind' cues. How would the value of these cues be determined? Other than throwing it out on ebay and letting people bid on it.

My thoughts would be... Lets say you did not like the car that Ford produces but you like ford cars. So you ask them to produce a car to your specifications. How much would that car be worth?

Would the "spec car" be on par with an Escort, Mustang, Thunderbird, or the Ford GT? When you figure that out, apply it to your cue question.

I'd guess that the wholesale price would still be the primary determinate.
