For such a big event, it always amazes me that there is never any information provided to spectators for this event. I have been to the Philippines many times, and I still remember taking a van on a three hour trip to see Jeanette Lee play Efren Reyes at the Casino in Paranaque. I actually arrived a few hours early and went into the Casino to purchase tickets. They basically laughed at me and told me all tickets were sold out. With this experience in mind, you can imagine the risk one would be taking by including the World Championships as a part of a vacation in the PI. Try to find information on the internet about buying your tickets in advance, or even finding the cost for tickets, and you will find nothing. I know from videos of the preliminaries, that this does not usually sell out until the latter stages. Still, if anyone knows what the ticket cost is or if tickets are available it would be a nice thing to let people know. Additionally, recommendations of hotels in the area from people that live there would be nice also. Hotels in Manila are a real adventure, and you had better eyeball it or get a recommendation before setting any reservations.
