i need a spindle for cnc machine, currently using an ELTE but it looks like they are out of business,, any ides, what do you guys use? 24000 rpm,,etc, blah blah
if you have an Elte then i would find a similar size air cooled chinese spindle on ebay. You can probably buy 2 or 3 for what an Elte cost. Look for one that runs the same ER collet size so that can atleast be salvaged.
On the off chance that your running 380v spindles then I have 6 Eltes ranging from 5-7.5kw that are just sittin around.
thanks for the response, my elte is 220 volt run thru control box, GE FUJI. actually im not looking to replace it, building another machine. im a skeered of runout but ill check those aircooled out, thanks

I trued mine on the mill by mounting a boring bar and just writing the G code to make it travel on an 8 deg taper per side. It is as good as the bearings are.
Very happy with it.
