Springfield Carbon Shaft Review

I just received my Springfield shaft today and thought I would give a quick review. First I would like to mention that I had a problem when ordering because even though using my visa card they still run it through paypal and the name they use was kind of strange so it caused a fraud alert message from my card company. Not a big deal and they guy at Springfield (Doug I think) called me to let me know that my card had been declined. I got it cleared up with my card company and the shaft was on it's way in a couple of days.

The shaft came in a nice tube that kept it well protected. I ordered a 29 inch shaft with a Kamui soft tip. I did the pro taper. This is going on my Lucasi cue so it had the unilock joint. Everything looks great. I have just shot a few shots so far but so far I like it. I will update later when I have shot a few games with it. It was delivered to my door for $297. Great price if it holds up. Time will tell.

Thanks. I'm not sure that I will like it but at least if I don't I'm not out that much money compared to some of them. The great thing is if I don't like it all I have to do is put the maple back on!
 
Played several games of 8 ball last night with the new shaft and played well with it. This was on a bar box at the local watering hole with friends. Had one break and run and for me that's a good night! This is my first CF shaft so I wasn't sure if I would like it. It is a little different for sure but I think I'm going to like it.

My experience in dealing the Springfield had been good. Before purchasing I was doing research on this site and I saw one thread where a guy really trashed this company so I was a little gun shy but I figured what the heck it's not that much money and there is always going to be someone upset for some reason or another. Glad I gave them a try I will probably buy form them again.

nice .... hard not to play well with a broom stick on a bar table ...
