I've been trying to work on my stance for a couple of months and everything seems to keep getting more and more out of line.
Option 1:
When my head stays straight, my shoulders are fairly square to the shot line and my hips are more back instead of to the side. My alignment this way is great. I feel like i can make the ball to a specific part of the pocket. The issue is I feel my stroke is jammed up. And I might be a little off balance (both feet are close to the shot line) and I lose some feel for speed control.
Option 2:
I feel like i have great balance and feel. My hips are out to the side. My head is turned about 30 degrees off the shot line to get my head over the cue and things look straight.
My accuracy here suffers. Mostly i'm missing in the pocket but occasionally just flat miss.
Option 2 is how i have shot for a long time - that could be why it feels better. Option 1 might just need more time but I think I'm not giving myself enough room.
I'm just wondering which one of these I should pursue. Or if there is a way to merge them together so I can get the best of both. I'm also really appreciating that just a small change can have a big impact on the over all stance. If I angle my back foot more off the shot line my hips will naturally move out more when I get down on the shot. So any little tips to try to get everything to fall in place would be appreciated.
I understand that stance issues are hard to diagnosis over the internet. And that everyone's stance will be different. Any help would be great.
