Last Tuesday, i was struggling a bit in my first match, had alot of things on my mind and wasn't really feeling my stance. I can recall when i first started getting into pool i just got down and fired away then i started to get into the stance of a snooker player with my chin on the cue. Over the years my head started to get higher and higher and that night i put my chin back on the cue and it felted comfortable, and it felted that i had true centerball hit on the cueball. So what i was doing was putting my chin on the cue then slide the cue over a bit to where i couldn't feel the cue then i knew i wasn't hitting centerball then i was using the whole aim and pivot system and it worked out great for me. So i am messing around a bit with that just to mess around to see how it works in situations on tough shots, i ain't going to do this all the time just messing around with it as i said. But ain't it amazing how little things makes your game improve, ......

There pro's and cons about the stance. Being from the UK most players over here prefer the traditional snooker stance as it does allow you to hit straighter and force you to cue smoother, particularly useful in pressure situations. This way technique can often help out with shakes, twitches and nerves but one fo the few cons imo is that sometimes you don't get the same amount of power or spin in certain shots as a snooker stance the power comes from the cue-ing rather from your body or weight. Textbook snooker stance, the body never moves only the arm in a hinge piston like motion....so they say :D
