Hello,
I am aware of two kinds of steel flat-faced joints: one where the steel is virtually a sleeve, usually over phenolic, and the full steel collar like the ones used in piloted configurations.
My question is, which kind does Timmy Scruggs use in his steel flatfaced joints, the ones with the large Radial pins? I'm pretty sure it's the latter, heavy variety and if so, how much weight does that add to the cue? Same as a piloted steel joint?
Thank you,
Roger (crossposted in Cuemaker's forum)
