well i traded a omen i had for this cue about a month ago. the design is exactly what i wanted. mop notched diamonds and old school barbells. when i first got the cue the fit and finish were amazing. shafts fit snug inlays all straight and in line..absolutely perfect work. the hit was amazing but before i wrote a review i wanted to test drive it awhile. even new toys at christmas lose their luster after a few weeks. not this puppy..love it.. probably the best hitting cue i have..above my bluegrass's and my mid 70's joss west too. this cue has me playing every day.. anyone one looking for a nice priced custom with exceptional quality definately look into steve klein cues.

I posted this a while ago, my impression of Darrells cue:

Nice pictures Darrell and a super nice cue if I do say so.

I got to shoot with Darrell's new cue, and I must say - Steve Klein - you make one bad-ass cue.

Everything was perfect, points, veneers, inlays, wrap and the shaft, yeah, the shaft had a great nice long straight taper - loved it.

The cue hits solid as a rock and the balance and weight make this cue control the cue ball with ease - don't have to muscle anything.

The MOP Inlays in the cue are perfect, not a dull spot to be seen and they reflect the light and almost sparkle, something you don't see in even some of the high end cue makers cues.

The dash rings line up perfectly and Steve's name in them is a petty cool touch.

I've read a lot of fine compliments about Steve Klein cues and now I see what their talking about.

Darrell told me he even called Steve today and Steve told him if he would like, to send the cue back to him and he would polish it up for him - free of charge ! Actually the cue doesn't need it as it was obviously very well taken care of, but what a nice gesture on Steve's part, a true Gentleman.

Darrell - good luck with your new cue, I'm sure it'll help you shoot better, jeez, what am I saying - now I'll never get a shot !!!

Beautiful cue my friend - Congratulations.

Tom

Did you ever look back on a trade and twinge just a tad????

Yes - this was my Klein. Steve was great to work with and he went out of his way on this one. Steve's cues are amazing and he is one hell of a nice guy. It was nice to hear this cue was well cared for.

That being said - I'm very glad this cue has found a good home. She started to feel a little neglected when I started hanging out with her sister.

I collect cues but more importantly I play with them. And, in my humble opinion Steve and Wes Hunter make the best hitting cues. Solid and well balance cues.

i picked up a fancy Titlist conversion a while ago. i was told he stopped making cues a while ago, shame because the custom cue niche needs more makers like Steve
