I don't have the time to search thru the forum archives to find the post you made about me when I sold you the Schon cue. This is not the first time you posted something that "could" result in a negative feedback towards someone in our line of business. All I said was that you need to deal directly with the person BEFORE making certain comments in a forum like this. Other people on here know me and my business ethics and are aware of you and yours. You were the stranger on here when you tried to make me look like the bad business man, when others told you otherwise and supported me, then what do you know, you received your cue and all was well!
so....I can't ask someone else's opinion about someone else? my asking questions and pointing out the obvious is not bad. it's nice to hear there are some descent people here and out there. this makes me want to do buisness with almost anyone here. if I asked you something about your buisness, you would give me your version. I wanted someone else's opinion about things. I never made a rude comment about your line of buisness, nor about a cuemaker. I simply asked if who I was dealing with was legit and you got offended. when I asked about you...I never dealt with you before and wondered if what I was doing was ok. I was assured and everything worked out. I'm sorry if I offended you, but I am a nervous person when it's not face to face. I just wanted someone else's opinion about you, or anyone. if they leave negative comments, there is either a reason for it, or it needs to be taken up with that person. not me for asking. are you saying you NEVER wondered about me? if you say no, you're lying to me and yourself. no hard feelings, but I just wanted to know about my deal. like I said...nerves take over when it's not face to face.

Wouldn't it be better to ask about people before you do business with them? From your post here about Steve it sounded like you thought you were getting scammed, which is bad on a persons reputation.

If you ask about them before hand you will get plenty of advice, especially if they are bad to deal with. From your buying habits I would say your fairly impulsive about buying cues, so maybe you don't have time before hand.

if I had asked before-hand the auction would've ended and someone else would be enjoying the cue. I just wanted someone else's opinion of steve. by the way...he's a good guy to deal with and I'd recommend him to anyone. I just hope it plays as well as it looks.

has anyone ever known steve to be dishonest? like I said, I bought a cue from him on ebay the other day and he was supposed to mail it this morning. I asked him to send me the tracking number and still no tracking number  . should I worry about this?

I think you should've waited a little longer before comming on the forum and putting the word "dishonest" in the same sentence with the name of a cue maker. If the guy was 1 email late in mailing the tracking number to you, what's the harm in that? He in all likelihood could have simply forgot to include it.

no

there was no tracking this package. if you have ever dealt with me, you'd know most people want a tracking number. that's something you don't forget. also....who are you to critisize me for doing deals with others and then asking others if they are trustworthy or not?

You DID jump the gun on this one and FWIW you should reiterate what a great cue you got as promised and then le this thread die...

shippinng after a purchase.

Any one can message a buyer after a purchase is made. if you have a special shipping request, just ask the seller. Want it overnight, need it insured, want a tracking number. JUST ASK. Not every shiper does it like you want it. WE ship hundres of packages the same way. If ya dont ask us for special requests then you wont get it your way. JUST LIKE BURGER KING. My 2 cents.

Yes, I am. You'll find out if he's trustworthy or not if you would've just waited a little longer. Instead of doing that, you came to a public board and potentially shed a negative light on an otherwise honest cuemaker. If you just waited a few more days, you would've gotten a satisfactory reply from Steve or you would've received to cue anyway. There was no need to come to a public forum and put the word "dishonest" in the same sentence as a cuemaker's name. You later stated that Steve did no wrong, but the initial post of unwarranted nonetheless.

This is exactly what I was talking about Duke!
It's not wrong to ask questions about someone's business ethics, it was just bad timing on this post and on the post about me. I personally encourage posts on this subject, just disagree on the timing of the posts. Enough said, lets not beat a dead horse. All is well, we can all continue our buying/selling and sharing our tips/advice to one another!

No hard feelings meant or taken,
Zim
